You may have noticed that I just changed my blog name! Instead of being Teens Transformed, I named it Lives Transformed. Whenever you visit, you can type either teenstransformed.home.blog or livestransformed.blog into the search box and it will lead you to the home page.
The general purpose of Lives Transformed is the same as Teens Transformed, but I wanted to make this change for a few reasons.
I chose to change my blog name because I have officially reached adulthood and am leaving the teen years. I am now seeking to reach a broader audience than simply teens. Although I am still writing to teens, I want to reach people of all ages. Because of this, I gave my blog a more general name that would encapsulate a variety of age groups.
Even though this blog is a little different now, I still hold to my general purpose: to encourage fellow believers to live lives that are transformed for God’s glory. This purpose is based on Romans 12:1-2:
“I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”
We are to be living sacrifices to God as we pursue holiness in our daily lives. We are called to be in the world but not of the world, and for our minds to be transformed by the power of the gospel. As we are transformed, he grows us to be able to discern what is acceptable to God.
So as we move forward, wherever we may be, join me in having our minds transformed. Join me in pursuing holiness. Join me in living as a living sacrifice that is poured out for God’s glory.
Join me in leading a life that is transformed by the power that does not come from within ourselves, but by the power of God that works through us.
